FUNERALS & MEMORIALS
Say goodbye to a loved one by symbolically releasing their spirit in the form of a pure white dove.We offer a unique service which is not only very symbolic in it’s meaning but can offer some degree of comfort to those bereaved members of the deceased’s family & friends. At a time when words are not enough or cannot convey what we feel, the act of releasing a pure white dove to soar high above into the skies, free of all earthly ties to disappear over the horizon on its journey ”home”, can express a volume of thoughts. We have been told on many occasions by the family that our service has not only been carried out in a most professional manner, but has given them an unforgettably comforting finale to a very sad occasion. Our service is professionally carried out with care and consideration for the family, we endeavour to do our best to accommodate your wishes and make this service very special and memorable for you. The ServiceEvery service that we offer is carried out personally by ourselves in a very professional manner. We dress appropriately and provide tastefully decorated release carriers. The dove release can be carried out at the church, the crematorium or any setting of your choosing. A few words will be spoken about the symbolism of the dove and a verse read at the point of release; the verses can be non-religious if so required. If you would like to provide your own verse to be read this is quite acceptable.
Single Dove Release A single dove represents the spirit of the deceased to be released by a close family member. The bird will be displayed in a beautiful cage adorned with a black sash (which can be replaced with another colour of the families wishes). It will then be taken and passed to a family member to hold before sending on its way up into the sky, to fly home. People often ask if they can kiss the bird before releasing it, thus sending their final act of love – of course this is quite acceptable and very fitting. If, however, the family wishes for us to release the bird on their behalf we are more than happy to do so.
From £70 Trinity Dove ReleaseIn addition to the single dove, three more birds can be released by other family members or friends to represent the Holy Trinity, forever guiding the spirit onwards. Alternately, any amount of extra birds can be released to carry the love of the family and friends onwards and upwards, surrounding the spirit of their loved one as they journey on.
Flight of AngelsAs a very special tribute, the release of the single dove can be preceded by the release of ten white doves, seeming like a flock of Angels to guide the spirit onwards. An awe inspiring sight to behold and take your breath away as the single dove rises to join the “Angels” and fly away with them.
Multiple Dove ReleasesAs an alternative to giving floral tributes, why not suggest to family & friends that they each release a dove. We could provide a dedication card to be filled out with a personal message which we would then read out at the point of release. Imagine the moving sight of many beautiful white doves taking flight in memory of your loved one. As many as twenty doves could be provided for this service.
We have been told on many occasions by the family that our service has not only been carried out in a most professional manner, but has given them an unforgettably comforting finale to a very sad service These are just a few suggestions of the type of service we offer but we will be happy to discuss any individual requirements that you may have, or you may discuss this with your chosen funeral arranger. Memorial Releases For Special Dates On The CalendarIt is nice to remember the loved ones we have lost, we often think of how we can do this. Some people place flowers on their grave, some even celebrate their birthday remembering their lost ones and enjoying the memories they have of them. What more special way to do this than by the release of a single white dove or more for the loved ones they have left behind, to show a sign that they are still in our thoughts and that we want to honour their passing with the release of the symbol of Love and Peace.
ConditionsWe shall do all that we can to ensure that at this sad time a little comfort can be taken from such a simple but poignant act; however, the well being of our birds is of utmost importance to us and as such we would be unable to release them in extreme weather conditions i.e. strong wind, torrential rain, fog or blizzard. It is very unlikely that we would have to cancel but we do reserve the right to protect our birds.
Birds’ welfare: Please note that upon release the birds do actually fly straight back home to their lofts in our garden and are not left to fend for themselves in the wild – in fact they often beat us home! |

Thank you for Saturday and your lovely birds, I think it finished the service off very nicely. A lot of the guests had never heard of it before and thought it was wonderful. June 2006 Read more: |
